Hope for Today

Yesterday was such a bright day

Warm and sunny

Full of wishes and wants

Unfortunately, it’s already past

 With many undone stuff

And other unattended issues

Procrastination seemed to carry the day

And so much less was achieved

It was risky to leave yesterday in such a state

For that’s all we had

Today was un assured

Its no wonder yesterday is full of sadness and regrets

Today came though

And it looks brighter than yesterday

Even though yesterday

At some point was still ‘today’

Today is hopeful and lovely

With an opportunity to accomplish a lot

For tomorrow awaits none in particular

Therefore, you got today to do it

Today is for action

Because planning was yesterday

Today’s exhaustion and fatigue

Is tomorrow’s peace and happiness

Let’s work while we still have the time

Let’s work while we still have the energy

Let’s work today

For yesterday is gone forever and tomorrow may never show up
