Sorrow for burying 2loved ones i.e. grandma n grandpa.
My sister is such an inspiration
I was the firstborn, tried setting the pace but she ensured she beat my record.
Always sharp, smart and intelligent. I am yet to see her in this other life(family), but so far so good. I must attest to the facts...she has always set a higher standard, settling for nothing less what I set.
Academic wise, social wise, leadership, financial and career wise, and guess what, I had a dream that I await to see it happen then I can reveal it to her and us here.
Anyhow, this month is yet another bit of her many achievements. It is the month she graduated from her undergraduate.
I admire her confidence and demeanor, and lady Deborah then comes to mind.
As a prophetess and a judge she had to really impress for she was a minority or rather a marginalized group as we'd say today.
In her lifetime, she also achieved a lot among which was delivering the children of Israel from their enemy.
Her beautiful character inside and outside earned her honor and respect among many. Barak for instance said he wouldn't go fight sisera, the captain of jabin's army unless she went with him. Isn't that enough confidence?
Trusting the lord who sent her and with her strong faith, together they went out to fight the host of Jabin's camp.
Sisera was weary and thirsty, so he decided to go into Jael's tent...(an aquitance) for some milk and water where he met his death after falling asleep in the hand of Jael's wife as Debra had predicted. By the time Barak came, sisera was dead already and so the lord subdued Jabin's camp before the Israelites.
That's what great women of faith can do. It's my prayer that the lord brings us joy and the urge to do more than we can imagine all for his glory. May his will be done in our lives as we look forward to achieving more the rest of the year.
