Saving the Endangered Species
He is a wounded soldier at war. One who limbs in pain. He has become lame from the effects of the arrow stings. Yes, he was left for the dead but survived the day.
A wounded soldier from war he is. Left blinded by the gun shots that he figuratively hears to this day. As if it were just yesterday, the effects feel real fresh.
He is maimed, dumb and deaf. For having to keenly look out and listen up for the enemy in their camp outside the city. This because their life solely depends on information.
Lame, blind, deaf and dumb is the male species. Rendered redundant and helpless for over empowering the girl child and leaving him for life to teach him what he ought to be taught by the society.
Lame from the foods he eat. Blind for changing originality and going for the second place. Deaf for not listening to the right Counsel rather going for what feels good at the moment and dumb for not speaking up when they ought to, for fear that he will be rejected by the society that protects him.
