Covid 19 came with its sheer of challenges and many will tell you it has been a bumpy road. It’s such an irony therefore, that the festive season still attract a mass migration of people all over the globe. Most especially from big towns and cities to the villages in the country side. It is by this that I wish to help those who have no choice but go, together with those who willingly planned to go and have been in their comforts long enough, how to shake off and survive best.
Below are a few tips
Do’s
1. Psychologically prepare self for the journey ahead
2. Carry with you necessary stuff you will need there including food stuffs
3. Carry extra supplies because you will not be an island
4. Prepare your pocket too, you will have many relatives, friends and neighbors to buy soda for
5. Adapt. People down there hate know it all guys like you who don’t consider their peace before you rudely interrupted them
6. Be ready for the herds and the Shamba it’s such a good season. Just make it fun.
7. Go visit an auntie, a neighbor or a cousin, it will help you catch up ad also pass time.
8. Explore and discover somewhere within your region that you did not know or had not been before.
9. Provide solutions rather than challenges and more problems
10. Take your paps out. They need it and they’ll surely not forget it.
11. Leave a mark behind. It’s all about legacy. It’s all about looking forward to the next visit
12. Be ready to cook a large family. Food from one pot is always sweeter
Don’ts
1. Don’t slay. Leave your make up, manicure and pedicure in the city. Here, we work and catch dirt every hour.
2. Don’t be a clean freak for the kids are here to do CBC practical. play and more physical play
3. Don’t ignore the neighbor, he is very vital to your parents when you leave.
4. Don’t over sleep. The early bird always catches the best worm
5. Don’t be proud and too choosy. We already know city dwellers have an attitude
Shake off your fears and make the best out of the period you will be out of your comfort zone. You’ll see, it will open your eyes, help you do more meditation and help you be physically fit.
