*Financial Reflections*
Financially speaking, December has never been better. It's one of the best months with gratitude, savings, Chama and Sacco dividends, festive gifts and hand outs just to name a few.
With the celebratory mood all over however, money is all over and never in our pockets.
Being a month of reflections, it's also important to do a survey on your self on matters financial goals and development.
The following are questions you'll need to ask yourself to know how well you handled your finances and as a result work on making better new year's resolutions rather than repeating the same formula and expecting different results.
1. How much did I make this year?
2. Was it enough for my needs?
3. Did I have financial emergencies?
4. Did I have provisions for financial emergencies?
5. Did I make enough sacrifices?
6. Did I exploit the opportunities I had to?
7. Did I invest in my future or all was about re-current ?
8. Did I maximize what I made ?
9. Did I use resources available the right way?
In answering these 9 questions you will know what kind of a financial manager you made of yourself. These questions will help us answer the following:
1. Do I need to get myself a new job?
2. Do I need a surplus job/a side hustle?
3. Do I really need more money and resources or I just need to be a better steward?
This is what will determine how the coming year will be for you.
It will tell How different you might need handle money in the coming year to enable you succeed in areas that you didn't do well.
So then, how useful is your money today in respect to the goals you set through the year?
Should it be for helping you achieve what you couldn't achieve in the last 11 months or it's time to spend and more spending irregardless of the consequences in respect to the resolutions you had when the year started?
