The Year that has Been
2021 was nice Cosy warm and calmer than the last.
Remember the new terms we had to deal with the previous year. The likes of kN25 masks, lock down and curfews? This year lessened these vocabularies and made life a bit normal. We are now more conversant with how to live with the new normal of social distance, masks, avoiding mouth, eyes and nose as well as hand washing.
Working from home has become another new normal for many. Creating a new gap in the entrepreneurial life. Job places are less crowded with many working in shifts to access the offices while others work from their homes. While many who lost their jobs have found new gaps that are sustainable such as creating content and re selling.
With people being home more times than before, there has been a need for more variety of entertainment. Many are using you tube, Viu sasa and other online platforms to find content they can consume at their leisure time which has increased.
Others on the other hand, are utilizing these online bases to resell their products that they found from the ground. As a result, others are becoming brand ambassadors for some of these products while others are doing affiliate marketing for some of the online shops. We're it not for COVID, such gaps would not be so open. Technology just got us.
Economy is stabilizing as a result of many becoming self employed while other new investors who resorted for self employment employ a few more people and the chain goes on and on. Curfews and lock down had just de stabilized us knocking the global economy off balance. The reprieve though was a huge breakthrough. Investors are warming up to the occasion and we are seeing more domestic investors bridge the gap. Which is definitely a good thing.
Schools have had to know how to use technology to their advantage. Right now, almost everything is being done digitally. The class notes, the assignments, the zoom classes all happen online. Tutoring is nothing new now as one can do that from miles away enabled by technology. The world has just become a global village.
Communication has been enhanced by technological advancement. 80% actually know how to use a smart phone compared to the population there before. That then means people are connected and networking. People no longer await the few mainstream media to watch news and all their provide .
